3v3 Adult Indoor Soccer League - Winter 2025

Join us this winter for a fun soccer league at Coal Ridge High School!  

- Dates: Every Sunday, January 12th - February 23rd, 2025

No games on February 9th, Super Bowl Sunday.
- Times:  
  - Men's League: 12-3 PM  
  - Women's League: 3-4 PM  
- Team Size: 3-5 players (minimum of 3, maximum of 5)  
- Location: Coal Ridge High School Gym  
- Cost: $180 per team  
- End-of-Season Tournament: Included

We’ll keep the kids busy while the parents go out.

Adult Basketball League - Winter 2025

This is 5v5 full court recreational league. There are 2 divisions: Recreation and Competitive Divisions to level the playing field and increase the enjoyment for all players and teams.

Recreational League: These teams have average skills. These teams play the game for enjoyment and fun.

Competitive League: These teams have above average skills and play at a high level and have experience in the league. 

**if there is not enough interest in the two divisions, the league will be combined into 1 division**

Cost: $400 per team (Deposit of $200 due to reserve team spot and $200 will be due before first game) This breaks down to roughly $40-$50 a player for a team of 8-10.

Every player will have to sign a code of conduct before they can play. Our code of conduct will be enforced.

Dates: January 5 - Feb. 23, 2025 (No League play on 2/9/2025, Super Bowl Sunday)

Days/Times: Sundays 6:00-9:00pm or 6:30-9:30pm

Games: Season will consist of 6 games including tournament

Location: Coal Ridge High School (alternate site at Riverside Middle School)

Registration Deadline: Thursday, Dec. 26, 2024

All players must be 18 years or older. Maximum number of teams will be 12.

Two winners in each category.

“Judges’ Champion” will be determined by seven anonymous judges.

“People’s Choice” will be determined by popular vote.

Judges’ Champion - $150 prize in the Chili  category / $150 prize in the Mac&Cheese category

People’s Choice - $100 prize in the Chili category / $100 prize in the Mac&Cheese category

Winner’s also receive a medal and bragging rights.

2024 Pumpkin Carving Party - Fall 2024

Come carve some pumpkins with New Castle Recreation! This pumpkin carving party will include snacks, carving tools and plenty of space to create your masterpiece! Need a pumpkin? Register to have a pumpkin provided for your Halloween artist. Already have a pumpkin? Register under BYOP (bring your own pumpkin) to join in the fun with your own pumpkin. This program is open to ages 5 and older and will take place from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm at the New Castle Community Center.

Indoor Adult Fall Pickleball | Session 1 - Fall 2024

NO INDOOR PICKLEBALL WEDNESDAY, SEPT. 25 - GYM NOT AVAILABLE

Join us for an exciting adult indoor pickleball program at Elk Creek Elementary School this fall! The program begins on September 16th and runs through November 6th, with sessions held every Monday and Wednesday from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM in the school gym.

The drop-in fee is $10 per session, and participants can also opt to pay for the entire 8-week program in advance. Additionally, we are offering a punch pass for 10 sessions, which can be used anytime within this session and future sessions at New Castle Recreation. The punch pass must be purchased before the program starts and will be ready for you before the first session on September 16th.

This program is designed for adults of all skill levels, whether you’re an experienced player or new to the game. Come enjoy a great workout, meet new people, and improve your pickleball skills in a fun and supportive environment. 

Please also keep in mind that Session 2 will start on November 12th and will be held on Tuesdays and Thursdays instead of the current schedule.

Kids' Kitchen will continue through the school year on Monday's with Ms. Candice of Rooted in Nature Kids - beginning in September.

We will follow kid-friendly recipes while learning the science of cooking and measuring.

Come join this fun interactive class working on your intuition.  This is a beginner class for like-minded people to practice in a non-judgmental environment.  We will practice working with energy using all our senses.  Come play with oracle cards, practice reading smoke from candle flames, seeing auras, sensing and feeling energy, and more!

 Kim Vargo is a second generation intuitive specializing in feeling energy.  She is a reiki master, tarot reader, qigong practitioner, yoga instructor, and attended shaman classes,

ArtillumA Dance Co - New Castle classes for ages 5-8 - Fall 2024

Join us TUESDAYS  - two options:

at the New Castle Community Center for 5-to-8-year-olds Combo Dance Class with Miss Julia Speedy.

In this class your dancer will learn Ballet, Tap & Jazz styles of dance.  

This 30-week session begins September 10th and runs through May 6th. Your dancer will be in our Spring Showcase in May where they will perform a choreographed dance piece in a beautiful costume. 

Register your child at newcastlerec.com and pay your first month's tuition ($55) - then on October 15th your amount due will be paid directly to ArtillumA Dance Co. This amount due in October will be $107.50 which includes the October tuition, the registration fee and the costume fee. Your child will keep the costume. Thereafter, the remaining tuition is charged out monthly, at $55 per month, for the next 6 months (November thru April) for a total of 30 weeks. African Drumming with Jessie - Spring 2024

Learn traditional West African rhythms in a fun and supportive setting. Have fun and connect through drumming with Jessie Lehmann.

New Castle Community Center - 6pm - one hour

Bring a drum or two, or more, if you have them. Jessie will also have drums for us to use.

The first two days of Thanksgiving Break, we will offer fun activities and crafts to keep kids busy.

For ages Kindergarten through Sixth Grade.
